Star Trekkin

was told the other day by a friend that even tho she considers herself a geek and loves geeks, she had never watched Star Trek, By no means am i a trekkie but here is some of the reasons I do record em for entertainment on my DVR.

The original Series:

OK yep that about describes the original Star Trek, it was Great for its age but in these modern days it really does look old. The original movies have my attention, the Series i dont bother watching any more. BTW that song did make it to #1 in the UK Music Charts, we brits are a funny lot.

Star Trek: The Next Generation:

Hmmm now were getting somewhere, Marina Sirtis plays Dianna Troi, a woman that can read your mind. Yep definatly gotta be advantages there, unless you was cheating.

As a Program they did have some interesting episodes, including time paradox, History and an Android wanting to be human, Kinda fun, i watch these if i have no Voyager or Deep Space 9 on my DVR.

Star Trek: Deep Space 9

The things i could do to her! Jadzia Dax, played by Terry Farrell Yep starting to figure out now why i watch some Star trek? Its all eye candy.

Program wise the Show is based on a Space Station and does also have some amusing stories n it, every Star trek Character is well thought out, i really must read some of the books, as things are usually better written than on tv.

Finally Star Trek: Voyager.

Yep yep its all about the eye candy and who could resist a Blonde in tight fitting bodysuit and high heels? Resistance is Futile indeed! (awful pic btw) Seven of Nine played by Geri Ryan could easilly be my future ex wife if she just asked nicely.

As for the show, not much that hasn’t been done in DS9 or The next generation but i cant help but link their plight of being Lost in an unknown land to be close to how i feel sometimes about starting over in the USA. Yes i can go home but I’m not prepared to make the sacrifice of my relationship to do so.

SO there you have it, a brief insight into why i watch Star Trek
